Play Like A Girl Australia is excited to announce a new partnership with Westpac, aimed at empowering women and girls through sport and leadership development.
The collaboration will deliver fully funded ‘Empowered to Lead’ scholarships for female athletes, providing leadership training, mentoring, and access to Play Like A Girl programs. The scholarships are designed to create real opportunities for women and girls to grow their confidence, develop leadership skills, and thrive both on and off the field.
Importantly, the partnership also reflects a shared commitment to supporting women and girls in emerging industries, including technology, recognising the growing opportunity for leadership both in sport and in sectors shaping the future of work.
The partnership will also see joint events and marketing initiatives, sharing inspiring stories of women and girls making their mark in sport and beyond. Year one will focus on building a strong foundation, creating tangible outcomes for participants, and amplifying the impact of both Play Like A Girl and Westpac across Australia.
Holly Bailey, Founder of Play Like A Girl Australia, said:
“We’re thrilled to partner with Westpac to provide leadership opportunities for women and girls in sport. Together, we can create meaningful impact and inspire the next generation of female leaders, both on the field and in industries like tech where representation matters.”
This partnership marks a significant step in Play Like A Girl’s mission to empower women and girls nationwide, demonstrating how sport can be a powerful platform for leadership and personal growth across multiple industries.
