We are beyond thrilled to celebrate Justine Azzopardi’s well-deserved win for Female Volunteer of the Year, recognised by the Hoppers Crossing Junior Basketball Club!
Justine’s journey with Hoppers Crossing has been truly inspiring, and as a recipient of the Play Like a Girl Leadership Scholarship provided by Hopper Motor Group, she took her passion for supporting youth to new heights. During her scholarship, Justine identified a critical need in her community—many young players lacked proper footwear, with some even sharing shoes just to play.
Determined to make a difference, Justine launched a Shoe Drive that quickly gained traction, bringing together families, local organisations, and even catching the attention of Erin Phillips, who shared a supportive video! Thanks to Justine’s leadership, the drive collected over 70 basketballs, shoes, and essential equipment, ensuring every child could play with confidence and dignity.
Beyond the Shoe Drive, Justine’s dedication shines through in everything she does—from coaching her kids’ teams to partnering with local organisations like Team Sports 4 All, making sure families have the support they need to thrive.
Justine, your impact is nothing short of incredible, and we are so proud to have you as part of the Play Like a Girl community. Your story is a testament to the power of leadership and the difference one person can make.
